Brain Mackey Roundtable Spotlight
In this Roundtable Spotlight, Brian Mackey discusses both of his 2024 roundtable sessions: 1) Best Practice Training for Teams and Firms and 2) True Confessions of Horrible Hacks. With over 20 years experience training and implementing Revit, Brian is an award winning and globally recognized speaker as well as a respected AEC industry thought leader. For the first half of our discussion, Brian explains why good training practices (remote or on-site) is essential for new (and often veteran) Revit users. In the second half, Brian explains why creative workarounds (aka "hacks") are important as project requirements evolve faster than technology. As a result, the BIM Managers goal is not completely avoiding workarounds, but rather, allowing "hacks" that are elegant, understandable, and easily manageable by the project team.
